15mm Iron Age Settlement.

 

This piece was made as a prize for the International wargames federation, who are holding their first European championship in Dublin.

I was asked by the organiser to make a 15mm scale fort, befitting of the location of the event, Ireland.

I was torn between making a stone fort (Caher) or an earthen fort (Rath). In the end I decided to make an earthen fort as I thought it would be more practical for use in games.

I included some small details like a compost heap, a wood pile (wood for making wattle fences) and a tree to add some variety.
